Description

Here is vdB 152 in Cepheus region, sliced by a supernova remnant arc SNR 110.3+11.3 that you can see in the background.

vdB 152 is the blue reflection nebula you can see in the center of the image, embedded at the tip of the elongated dark nebula known as Barnard 175. The blue star illuminating it is presumed to just be a wandering star, as its velocity has been measured as being different than the cloud. The supernova remnant arc in the background is just a small portion of a very large and near supernova remnant SNR 110.3+11.3.
